
The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) has earned a reputation as one of the safest, most convenient and efficiently run airports in the world. Each year, more than 34 million travelers use the airport, located just 8 miles from downtown Saint Paul. It is anticipated that by the year 2010 more than 40 million travelers will use MSP annually. An aggressive plan is in place for improving facilities to accommodate this growth. MSP airport has won the award for best large airport in North America for the third consecutive year.
As a hub, the Twin Cities benefits from nonstop service to nearly 130 domestic destinations, nine Canadian cities, four European cities, two Asian cities and 10 destination in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. Cab and Taxi service is available from MSP. From the Lindbergh Terminal building, follow signs to the Tunnel level and go up one level. Downtown Saint Paul is 12 miles, and fares average $14. Cab and taxi service for people with disabilities is available on the Baggage Claim Level.
Car rental companies have phone banks on the Baggage Claim Level opposite carousels 2, 5 and 10. Rental car counters are located in the new parking and rental car facility called the Hub Building or on the lower level of the Blue and Red parking ramps.
